Chloe Bailey Called out by Tiffany Red Again!
Atlanta-born singer Chloe Bailey, who is rumored to be dating Burna Boy, is facing backlash again from songwriter Tiffany Red, who is making strong allegations about the artist.
Earlier this month, Tiffany took to social media to express her discomfort with a songwriting dispute between Chloe and another songwriter. Red, known for advocating for smaller songwriters in the industry, alleges that an individual wasn’t paid for their writing contributions. The singles in question come from Bailey’s album Trouble in Paradise, released on August 9, 2024.
Tiffany posted several videos on Instagram, criticizing the pop star for her lack of business ethics. Red even went so far as to tell Bailey that she’s no Beyoncé and, therefore, shouldn’t behave as such. The caption of the post read:
“The songwriter who wrote this song contributed three songs to @chloebailey’s album Trouble In Paradise. These songs were released without the writer’s knowledge or consent, and he only discovered their inclusion on the album after it was released. This songwriter originally wrote two of the three songs for another artist’s solo project before the producer placed the songs on this album without informing him. He was not paid, the splits are still incomplete, and this album was released in August of 2024! The songwriter’s attorney has done everything possible to resolve this situation amicably. This is unacceptable, @parkwood and @columbiarecords. Please do better and make this situation right.”
Things became even more complicated when Red made follow-up posts responding to fans who tried to defend Bailey. In one video, she claimed that the writer had no knowledge that producer BONGO ByTheWay had passed the records over. Throughout the ordeal, Red has made it clear that she is on the side of the songwriter.
On January 7, she returned to Instagram to inform the public that after an unsuccessful conversation with Chlöe’s attorney, the issue would be taken to court. In the video, Tiffany revealed that she was not directly part of the conversation but had been conferenced in by another party.
The “Have Mercy” singer recently posted a video of herself singing a song titled “I Might As Well” on Instagram. This did not sit well with Red, who then returned to Instagram to announce that a takedown had been issued for the song. All streaming platforms have been contacted to remove the track. According to Tiffany, Chloe purchased the masters to the song but did not acquire the composition rights.
