Beyoncé Donates $2.5 Million to Support L.A. Wildfire Victims Through BeyGOOD Foundation
Global superstar Beyoncé is stepping up to support L.A. fire victims through her foundation, BeyGOOD.
Beyoncé is extending her support to the victims of the recent wildfires in Los Angeles through her charitable foundation, BeyGOOD.
The foundation has pledged a $2.5 million donation to the L.A. Fire Relief Fund to assist families who have lost their homes in the devastating California wildfires.
On Sunday night, BeyGOOD took to Instagram to express solidarity with those affected, stating, “Los Angeles, we stand with you.” The announcement detailed the foundation’s efforts, saying, “BeyGOOD is taking action by establishing the LA Fire Relief Fund with a $2.5 million donation. This initiative is dedicated to supporting families in the Altadena and Pasadena areas.”
The fund will also provide aid to community centers and churches in other affected regions requiring urgent assistance.
Beyoncé founded BeyGOOD in 2013 to focus on critical issues like education, housing, disaster relief, and mental health.
This act of generosity follows a similar effort by Kim Kardashian, who announced a clothing donation through her brand Skims, with the Kardashian family also distributing meals to first responders.
Beyoncé joins a growing list of celebrities who have used their platforms to support those in need, including Jamie Lee Curtis, Paris Hilton, Jennifer Garner, and Meghan Markle.
