Nicki Minaj, born Onika Tanya Maraj, is facing a lawsuit for allegedly physically assaulting her former manager, Brandon Garrett.

The “Super Bass” rapper is being sued by Brandon Garrett, who claims to have been Nicki’s manager during her Pink Friday Tour earlier this year. According to TMZ, the lawsuit filed by Thomas Feher claims Minaj got physical with Brandon.

In the lawsuit Garrett claims, Nicki sent him to run an errand after her April 2024 show in Detroit. Upon his arrival the Trinidadian-born rapper summoned him to her dressing room. Garret claims Nicki was inside with several team members and started addressing everyone’s job responsibilities.

“The force of the blow caused his head to swing backward and his hat to fly off his head”

As the lawsuit progresses, Brandon claims Nicki flew into a rage after learning that he sent another team member to retrieve one of her prescriptions. Garrett alleges the rapper screamed at him, “Are you fu-king crazy having him pick up my prescription? You have lost your fu-king mind and if my husband was here, he would knock out your fu-king teeth. You’re a dead man walking. You just fu-ked up your whole life and you will never be anyone, I’ll make sure of it.”

He goes on to state Minaj continued screaming at him and told him his “life was over”. Garrett claims at this point the “Chun-Li” rapper strikes him on the right side of his face with an open hand.

The former manager claims the security team then swarmed in to him. At which point Nicki struck him on his right wrist knocking paperwork out his hand. He says the songstress told him to “get the fu-k out” at which point he quickly exited the room. Garrett says he stayed locked in the restroom for hours after the incident out of fear.

He mentions a throbbing wrist and sore face after the altercation, and speaking with his fiancée to inform her. He claims the team refused to let him back on the tour bus leaving him stranded in Detroit.

Garrett is suing for assault, battery and intentional infliction of emotional distress. He also says he’s going after her for damages.
