Tory Lanez, born Daystar Peterson, is now accusing Megan Thee Stallion of misusing the justice system after she filed for a temporary restraining order.

Court documents obtained by PEOPLE Magazine from the Superior Court of California indicate that the Canadian-born star filed a motion on December 24 in response to the temporary restraining order request filed earlier this month.

Documents claim that Megan “improperly decided to use the Los Angeles County civil court to file a frivolous request for civil harassment restraining order against Daystar Peterson, who has had zero direct contact with Ms.Pete.”

Daystar complaint cites California Code of Civil Procedure S. 5278, which “prohibits courts from issuing restraining orders that restrict constitutionally protected speech. The statute ensures restraining order.” The compliant goes on to state the “Plaintiff has succumbed to the current trend of using the legal system in an attempt to cancel those opinions she disagrees with.”

Megan’s attorney, Mari Henderson, said in a statement to PEOPLE, “It is delusional that a felon convicted of a violent crime for shooting a victim, and then further harassing her, is even contesting a request for a protective order and we are confident the court will act to protect the victim.”

Earlier this month, Megan filed a restraining order against Lanez after it was revealed that the “Say It” rapper allegedly paid a blogger to harass her. While Daystar publicly denies the allegations, documents reportedly prove the star and his father conspired with Milagro, paying her a total of $3,000.

The saga continues in the world of Megan Thee Stallion and Tory Lanez as the Canadian rapper works to over turn his conviction.
