Pleasure P, born Marcus Ramone Cooper, claims that New Orleans-born rapper Lil Wayne owes him over $10 million dollars for his writer’s credits on ‘Lollipop’.

‘Lollipop’ was released in March of 2008 and served as the lead single from Wayne’s sixth studio album, Tha Carter III. The single spent five non-consecutive weeks atop the US Billboard Hot 100 and sold ten million units in the United States, earning it a diamond certificated from the Recording Industry Association of America.

According to Rap Genius, the credited writers include Lil Wayne, Static Major, Jim Jonsin, and Deezle. However, Pretty Ricky’s Pleasure P is asserting that he wrote the single. The Florida-born singer took to Instagram Live to express his frustration.

The “On the Hotline” singer stated, “I’m 40 now. Just give me what I deserve. I wrote this,” as the hit single played in the background. The Pretty Ricky bandmate also blamed his former manager for the lack of funds he received. He mentioned that, despite hearing rumors about his former manager, he continued to work with him. Pleasure P went on to claim that he should have been paid a staggering $28 million dollars based on the single’s success.
