Eminem Hints at Potential Joint Album with 50 Cent
Eminem has intensified speculation regarding the possibility of a collaborative album with his longtime friend, 50 Cent.
During a candid Christmas Day, per HipHopDx, interview with his manager Paul Rosenberg on Shade 45, Eminem openly discussed the idea of a joint project.
When asked about the likelihood of a collaborative album, Eminem stated, “That would be great. We just need to stop procrastinating and make it happen. I would never rule it out.”
Rosenberg chimed in, expressing his enthusiasm: “I would love to hear it, so whenever you guys are ready, we’re ready to release it.”
This isn’t the first time Eminem has mentioned the idea of a full-length project with his former Shady Records artist, who has released only one album since leaving the label a decade ago.
Earlier this year, while speaking with DJ Whoo Kid, Eminem remarked, “I’m really pushing him to create a new album. We desperately need another 50 album. He’s been on a roll since the tour.”
He added, “I told him that whatever he needs from me, I’m here for it. An album with us would be incredible.”
While the album remains a distant possibility, Eminem and 50 recently collaborated on Snoop Dogg’s latest album, Missionary, contributing guest verses to the track “Gunz N Smoke,” produced by Dr. Dre.
In this collaboration, Snoop references a lyric from Biggie’s “Notorious Thugs,” while a sample from Eminem’s posthumous collaboration “Dead Wrong” echoes throughout the track.
Eminem’s verse is characteristically intricate, as he reflects on his tumultuous upbringing, past tendencies toward violence, and his evolution into a more mature perspective.
