Ashanti and Nelly took the stage together at the rapper’s annual Black and White Ball, celebrating their love for each other and music. The event, held on Sunday (Dec. 15) at the Four Seasons Hotel in Nelly’s hometown of St. Louis, featured a star-studded guest list and a special performance by the newlyweds.

According to PEOPLE, the couple was affectionate and playful, sharing updates about their son, Kareem Kenkaide Haynes, lovingly referred to as “baby KK.” During their set, they performed Ashanti and Fat Joe’s 2002 hit “What’s Luv” and her song “Baby,” playfully remixing the lyrics to “we made a baby, baby, baby, baby, baby.”

“Make some noise for my God d*mn beautiful wife,”

Nelly declared from the stage, as reported by the outlet. Notable guests included Bow Wow, Ne-Yo, Metro Boomin, Jermaine Dupri, J-Kwon, Murphy Lee, and more.

The Black and White Ball supported charitable causes, raising funds for Make-A-Wish and a full-ride scholarship to Harris-Stowe State University, a local HBCU. Nelly also received a key to the city alongside the St. Lunatics and hinted at a future joint festival with fellow St. Louis native Metro Boomin.

Earlier this year, Ashanti and Nelly welcomed baby KK, marking Ashanti’s first child and Nelly’s third. The name, Kareem Kenkaide Haynes, carries a deep family connection.
