SZA Teases the Release of ‘Lana’ Project
SZA teases fans with a video released to her Instagram two years after the release of her sophomore album SOS.
The 45 second clip features an unknown song sampling the Isley Brother’s “Voyage to Atlantis”. In the clip the singer is seen walking in the woods as she crosses over a rock she stops abruptly. As she pulls back up her pants the words Lana SOS Deluxe flashes across the screen.
The “Broken Clocks” singer captions the reel “Clock starts now. Happy anniversary.” The mysterious video has sent fans into a frenzy wondering what could be coming up. Fans and celebrities took to the singers Instagram comments to express their excitement.
One fan expressing “almost crashed this car seeing this” while another states “used to pray for times like this.” Which is a line from Meek Mills 2012 “Dreams and Nightmares” single. Despite no official announcements being made fans on Reddit are speculating what the hidden messages in the video could mean.
Fan confusion also arise as they figure out if Lana is its own separate album or will it serve as the SOS Deluxe. In a recent interview with British Vogue the Missouri native expressed two projects coming up yet the teased video debunks that statement. She’s describe the music for this new album as a welcome shift.
The teaser comes six days after SZA and Kendrick Lamar released they will be touring together on the Grand National Tour. With the release of new music SZA fans have an array of music to look forward to on the upcoming tour.
