Connie Diiamond Releases new Single Ahead of Upcoming EP
Connie Diiamond releases a new single “Jodeci” featuring Vontee The Singer and Cash Cobain ahead of her upcoming EP UNDERDOG SZN: BRB releasing December 13.
The single produced by DJ AARON ON THE BEAT and Michael Ashby features a sample from the 1991 hit single “Come & Talk to Me” by Jodeci. While the original features a soft R&B beat with instrumentals in the background the sample does the opposite. Connie keeping true to modern Hip Hop and Rap places a heavy NYC drill beat on the track.
Like the original Connie focuses the single on a romantic relationship. While the original focuses on a male perspective attempting to gain the attention of a lady Connie highlights a women’s perspective. In the original the artist is trying to understand why this mystery woman makes him feel the he does. He spends his time fighting to gain her attention as her navigates his feelings for her. On the other hand Connie Diiamond finds herself speaking from a more sultry tone embracing her sexuality.
” I could never be your side bi-ch/ I could never keep you private”
The remix features Bronx native Cash Cobain who has been making waves through the industry. By bringing Cash to the single it adds another dimension with his signature flow. Cobain complements Connie’s stunning style and Vontee simmering vocals. It is undeniable that this trio brought sexy drill combined with an uncontainable energy and undeniable style to the single.
The “Ghetto & Ratchet” rapper is set to release her newest EP, UNDERDOG SZN: BRB Friday December 13. The EP will boast features from Don Q, Remy Ma, Joe Budden, Cash Cobain, DUSTY LOCANE, and more. Connie Diiamond has been making her way through Hip Hop and shows no signs of stopping.
