Roddy Rich Grammy Saga Continues: Is The Rapper Being Extorted?

A Tik Tok star by the name of ‘The Storage Hunters‘ went viral after finding a unit that belonged to rapper Roddy Rich containing valuable items.

Roddy Rich abandoned storage unit contained several items including his 2019 Grammy for Best Rap Performance for Nipsey Hussle’s “Racks In The Middle”. The unit purchased for $280 on December 1 also contained a PS5, Yezzy slides, and two luxury suitcase – one locked.

After opening an unlocked suitcase and identifying several luxury clothes, the Tik Toker decided to break into the locked suitcase to find what other goodies could be hiding. Inside this locked suitcase is where the Grammy was found and the saga begins. The Tik Toker mentions in the video that he knows Roddy will see the video and he should contact him to work something out.

In a second video posted bosting over 2 million views the Tik Toker is seen sitting in his backyard holding the Grammy. He calls out Roddy Rich and his team again encouraging them to reach out so he can return the Grammy.

On December 2 the Tik Toker took to his page to make it be known since finding the Grammy his life has become a “nightmare“. He goes on to say that after getting in contact with Roddy his only request was to get a video of him giving the Grammy back. He states that people have been sending threats to his family since the incident has occurred.

Comments on the post indicate that those following the story via The Storage Hunters Tik Tok page believes this incident has crossed the line. One commenter stating ” nah..his assistants should have made it happen for him to say thanks. I’m sure it was their L for no paying the storage.”

Since the “Racks In The Middle” rapper has spoken out the story has taken a turn for the worst. Roddy took to Instagram live on December 2, claiming the Tik Toker attempted to extort him. He states ” It was never about returning the Grammy, a video, all that type of sh-t. It was more so about $50,000… We found the video at like a thousand views and offered him something.”

Roddy goes on to claim the Tik Toker initially asked for an AP watch, worth roughly $30,000 at minimum. When that was declined he then asked for $50,000 in which Roddy counter offered with $10,000 to return the Grammy.

In the final installment of this Roddy Rich Grammy saga it appears that the Grammy has ben returned. In a video posted to the Tik Tokers page it shows one of Roddy’s people meeting him at a police station to make the exchange. Roddy also took to his Instagram story to post “Dear internet, my personal assistant as in a near fatal-accident which is how the storage unit was mishandled. I appreciate the kid for returning the Grammy. Much love.”
