Aubrey Graham most known as Drake has fans questioning his loyalty to his main demographic of supporters with his recent behavior. Drake got his start as Jimmy on the Canadian teen show Degrassi from 2001 – 2009. The “Take Care” rapper began his music career in 2006 with his first mixtape Room for Improvement.

On August 14, 2023 Drake made a guest appearance on Bobbi Althoff podcast ‘The Really Good Podcast‘. The fifty-five minute episode features Bobbi and Drake in bed engaging in conversation. Bobbi is known for her deadpan humor and making her interviewees uncomfortable. This interview sparked reactions from fans online who wondered why the Canadian rapper didn’t appear on Funny Macro’s podcast.

Funny Marco is an online social media presence who has amassed over 10 million followers across all social media platforms. Marco is known amongst the urban community for his deadpan humor and confusing interviewing style on his Youtube channel, ‘Open Thoughts‘.

Fans became suspicious of Drake motives when he appeared on Bobbi’s platform but did not go onto Funny Marco’s platform. Marco is known for having a more urban community consisting of rappers and black creators. Marco is credited for starting the awkward interview trend. Which had fans speculating why not support the creator of the trend rather than a copy cat of the trend.

In 2024, Drake made a similar gesture when he was spotted on stream with Canadian Twitch streamer xQc instead of Kai Cenat. Kai is currently hosting a Mafiathon 2 stream with new celebrity host each night, which would have been ideal for Drake’s current environment. This raised fans suspicions once again since Kai is currently one of the most streamed Twitch streamers. Fans took to TheShaderoom comments to express their distaste.
