Sean “Diddy” Combs Denied Bail for Third Time, Spent Thanksgiving in Jail
It’s not looking good for Puff. He was once again denied bail amid his May 2025 trial date. It was the third attempt. He spent Thanksgiving behind bars.
NEW YORK — Sean “Diddy” Combs, the embattled founder of Bad Boy Records, is set to experience a very different Thanksgiving this year. The hip-hop mogul remains behind bars at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, following his September arrest on serious charges including sex trafficking and racketeering.
On Wednesday (Nov. 27), a judge denied Combs bail for the third time, citing risks of witness tampering, intimidation, and potential flight. Combs had previously offered a $50 million bond alongside a proposal for private security monitoring, but prosecutors argued that such a plan would create a “two-tiered” justice system, favoring those with immense wealth.
Thanksgiving Behind Bars
While Combs won’t be at the head of a luxurious holiday feast, he and fellow inmates will receive a Thanksgiving meal during lunch. According to Fox News Digital, the menu includes:
- Breakfast: Fruit, cereal, breakfast pastries, and skim milk. (Coffee, though served earlier in the week, is not listed as an option for Thanksgiving.)
- Thanksgiving Lunch: Turkey roast, mashed potatoes, mixed vegetables, cranberry sauce, turkey gravy, dinner rolls with margarine, and assorted holiday pies for dessert. A meatless alternative, hot and sour tofu, is also available.
- Dinner: A simpler offering of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, potato chips, whole wheat bread, fruit, and a beverage.
This meal mirrors what Combs received earlier this month while marking his 55th birthday in custody. Then, lunch included pasta and salad, while dinner featured chicken or tofu fried rice.
Charges and Legal Battle
Combs was arrested in September on multiple charges, including:
- Racketeering conspiracy
- Sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion
- Transportation to engage in prostitution
If convicted, the music mogul faces a minimum of 15 years in prison, with the possibility of a life sentence.
Prosecutors allege that Combs engaged in a pattern of abuse and obstruction, accusing him of intimidating victims and influencing witnesses even while in custody. Court filings describe a history of coercion involving sexual partners and personal staff.
Upcoming Trial
A trial date has been set for May 5, where Combs will face these allegations in court. His continued detention and the gravity of the charges have drawn significant public attention, marking a dramatic fall for one of hip-hop’s most iconic figures.
As Combs spends Thanksgiving behind bars, the focus now shifts to the legal battles ahead and the potential implications for his legacy.
