Drake, aka Champagne Papi, has always had a staunch defender in his father, Dennis Graham, and this week was no different. As controversy swirls around Drake’s recent legal move against Universal Music Group (UMG) and Spotify, Graham stepped in to address Joe Budden’s harsh words about his son.

Joe Budden’s Scathing Criticism

The drama began when Drake announced plans to sue UMG and Spotify over allegations of illegally boosting Kendrick Lamar’s track “Not Like Us” and claims of defamation. Joe Budden weighed in on the issue during the latest episode of his podcast, delivering an explosive rant aimed at Drake.

“He’s a selfish, lying, manipulative sack of s**t who has made enemies for 15 years,” Budden declared.

The former rapper accused Drake of engaging in behind-the-scenes antics, from alleged personal betrayals to professional misconduct. His tirade claimed that Drake’s behavior had gone unchecked due to his fanbase and industry power.

Dennis Graham Steps In

On Wednesday (Nov. 27), Dennis Graham responded to Budden’s accusations in the comments section of an Instagram post covering the story.

“Stand down now!!!!!!!!!” Graham demanded. “Joe need to back the f**k off; this has nothing to do with him period………..”

This isn’t the first time Graham has come to Drake’s defense against Budden. Last year, he criticized Budden for targeting his son, saying,

“It’s a f**ing shame that a young artist can’t do his own thing and enjoy his glory without an old hater motherf**er trying to bust his bubble because he has nothing going on.”

Drake’s Legal Battle

As the social media storm rages, Drake’s lawsuit against UMG and Spotify remains a focal point of debate in the music industry. The Toronto superstar claims the streaming platform and label unlawfully manipulated data to promote Kendrick Lamar’s song, creating an unfair advantage while allegedly defaming Drake in the process.

While Budden’s fiery commentary stirred the pot, Dennis Graham’s swift defense shows that Drake’s inner circle isn’t shying away from protecting his reputation. As this story unfolds, fans and critics alike are eager to see how the legal and public relations battles will play out.
