Amber Mark Returns with Loosies EP, Her First Release in Nearly Three Years
Amber Mark has dropped her highly anticipated Loosies EP, recorded in her cozy home studio. This genre-blending project combines dance, pop, soul, disco, and R&B to create a vibrant soundtrack for carefree nights. Released via PMR/Interscope Records, the EP showcases Mark’s signature sultry and euphoric sound.
Earlier this week, Mark shared the seductive single “Wait So Yeah,” featuring booming 808s and layered harmonies. The track highlights her talent, created alongside collaborators like Two Fresh, John Ryan, and Steph Jones. Other contributors to Loosies include past collaborators Julian Bunetta, Afterhrs, and Liza Owen.
Mark describes the EP as “a mixtape of spontaneous late-night moments.” She explains that many tracks didn’t fit her upcoming album but deserved a home. The songs subtly pay homage to her hometown, NYC, making the project a heartfelt ode to the city and her fans.
Highlights of Loosies include the blissful disco track “Won’t Cry” and jazz-infused “Sink In,” both written, produced, and performed by Mark. Other standouts like “City Starlight” and “Stop Calling Me” expand her boundary-pushing sound. The EP also follows standalone releases like the torch song-turned-dance anthem “Space & Time.”
Mark’s in-progress album will be her first since 2022’s Three Dimensions Deep, which received acclaim from Rolling Stone and Pitchfork. With Loosies, she continues her evolution, building excitement for what’s next in her bold musical journey.
