Candace Owens Criticizes Beyoncé and Tina Knowles Over Kamala Harris Endorsement
Candace Owens had some rather choice words for Beyoncé about her participation in Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign.
Candace Owens has taken aim at Beyoncé and her mother, Tina Knowles, accusing the pop star of being paid to support Vice President Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign. Tina Knowles was quick to defend her daughter, refuting the claims in a series of Instagram comments.
According to The Independent, Beyoncé appeared at a Houston rally for Harris in October alongside Tina and Kelly Rowland. The event highlighted issues like women’s rights, but Harris ultimately lost the election to President-elect Donald Trump. Tina clarified that Beyoncé not only endorsed Harris for free but also covered travel and glam expenses out of her own pocket.
“The lie is that Beyoncé was paid $10 million to speak at a rally,” Tina wrote on Instagram. “She did not receive a penny. In fact, she paid for her own flights and team.”
Owens, however, remained critical, claiming Beyoncé’s activism felt inauthentic.
“This is an economy where authenticity pays, and Beyoncé doesn’t remember what it means to be authentic,”
Owens said. She also criticized Beyoncé for appearing only during election cycles.
The feud escalated as Owens accused other celebrities, including Cardi B and Oprah Winfrey, of being paid for their political endorsements. Cardi denied the claims, stating she attended Harris’ rally in Milwaukee out of personal passion, covering her own expenses. Similarly, Oprah clarified that any payments related to her production company were for logistics, not personal gain.
While Beyoncé has not directly addressed the accusations, the situation highlights the increasing scrutiny celebrities face for their political endorsements.
