This week, the Grammy-winning artist broke his silence, announcing his sophomore project, Dreamboy. To kick off this exciting new chapter, he dropped the lead single, “Light Again!” featuring production from Daft Punk’s Thomas Bangalter.

Earlier in 2024, he sparked discussion with the controversial single “J Christ,” followed by the heartfelt “Where Do We Go Now?” and a contribution to the Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F soundtrack with “Here We Go!”
On “Light Again!,” Lil Nas X takes a moment to reflect on his journey over the past five years. He embraces the highs and the lessons learned, delivering lyrics like:
“You know I gotta catch my flight / You know I gotta reach new heights again / You know we run it up at night / You know we only get one life for this.”

“I just want to release music, but expectations are just insane. Like, I can’t even have fun. I just want to f**kin’ have fun with this s**t. I don’t even give a f**k about all the other s**t. Of course, I want to, like, be number one all the time, I want every song to go up, and I want you to go crazy. But at the same time, I want to f**kin’ have fun. I want to go and live life. I just want to make music.”
