Jennifer Hudson Release Holiday Album The Gift Of Love

Jennifer Hudson gears up for the holiday season as she releases a new holiday album The Gift Of Love. The Chicago native teamed up with Ryan Tedder who served as the executive producer for the album. She also paired up with producers David Foster, Greg Phillinganes, Kirk Franklin, James Poyser, Frede Vindver, and Peer Åström. Additionally, Hudson worked alongside co-writers Micheal Pollack and J Kash to bring this album to life. This project serves as the singers debut album since signing her new record deal with Interscope.

“Let There Be Joy” serves as the exclusive bonus track on The Gift of Love. This track will serves as the official theme song for Hallmark Channel’s iconic Countdown to Christmas. It will also be featured throughout the fifteenth anniversary celebration for the holiday programming. Hudson is set to perform at the 98th annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on November 28. She will also be performing at CBS annual “Home For The Holidays” special airing on December 20 at 9PM ET/PT.

Jennifer will also be spreading joy with The Gift of Love: An Intimate Live Experience which launches on November 24. The show kicks off at the Kings Theatre in Brooklyn, New York and then makes its way to Chicago, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas. The ‘Spotlight’ singer will have two shows at the Fontainebleau in Las Vegas on December 21 and December 22.

The album includes the Christmas special “Carol of the Bells” featuring The Joy, a South African quintet. The Joy is known for blending traditional Zulu music and modern cappella. She also features her long time boyfriend, Common, for an original song “Almost Christmas” produced by James Poyser. Hudson gives fans a special treat with her rendition on the 1991 Christmas classical “Hallelujah”.
