Ray J has made explosive allegations about a network of celebrities supposedly paying hush money to avoid being implicated in the unfolding scandal surrounding Diddy. In an interview for TMZ’s new documentary, The Downfall of Diddy: Inside the Freak-Offs, Ray J alleged that several high-profile figures are secretly paying off victims from Diddy’s alleged “freak off” parties to stay out of the spotlight.
“I’m hearing about artists paying victims to keep their names out of it,” Ray J stated.
He described the practice of “catch and kill,” a tactic where someone with information is paid to remain silent.
“Hopefully, that money that you got paid secures your happiness while you watch the lie continue to succeed,” he explained.
Ray J also claimed that some celebrities had reached out to him directly regarding their experiences at Diddy’s controversial parties.
“They feel they can trust me,” he said. “They wanna tell me about certain things that happened with them and Diddy.”
In recent weeks, Ray J has frequently spoken out about Diddy’s alleged activities, even admitting in a NewsNation interview with Chris Cuomo that the claims have impacted him during church services.
“I can’t turn cheek to cheek when somebody hits me, because now I’m thinking about butt cheeks,”
Ray J remarked, implying the allegations have affected his perception of spirituality.
Ray J’s remarks have not gone unnoticed. At a recent Halloween party, Diddy’s sons confronted him over his statements, with reports indicating that Chris Brown and other attendees intervened before the situation could escalate.
The scandal continues to unfold, with Ray J among the few in the industry publicly speaking out. For now, fans and onlookers await further developments and potential responses from others in Diddy’s circle.
