Young Thug is officially back. After facing Georgia’s longest criminal trial, the Atlanta rapper is free and eager to return to music. Fans, who showed immense support throughout his legal battles, were thrilled to see Thugger post a new photo from a recording session on November 10. The image, although a bit blurry, clearly shows him in the studio with powerhouse collaborators Travis Scott, Future, and Lil Baby, sparking major excitement online.

These three artists have each shared an impressive history with Young Thug, marked by some of rap’s most memorable collaborations. In 2017, Thug teamed up with Future for a joint album that fans still revisit, and his longstanding relationship with Travis Scott dates back to Thug’s guest spots on Scott’s early projects and breakthrough records. Lil Baby, a Young Stoner Life (YSL) affiliate, is not only a close friend but also one of Thug’s most successful proteges, making the reunion a promising sign of what’s next for Young Thug’s highly anticipated comeback.

Teasing a New Lil Baby Collab

Young Thug hinted at a new collaboration with Lil Baby shortly after his release. On November 3, just days after gaining freedom, he tweeted, “Wham let’s drop one on these rats Peter,” a line fans took as a sign of upcoming music—and as a possible reference to recent industry tensions. Lil Baby responded on Instagram Stories, wishing Thug well and adding the hashtag, “#whatwhamsaysgoes.” Notably, this tagline appeared soon after on billboards across Los Angeles, signaling a fresh era for the longtime friends and fueling speculation that the duo is distancing themselves from another YSL collaborator, Gunna, amid rumors of a rift.

With these superstar artists back together in the studio, fans can look forward to an epic Young Thug comeback—one likely to leave an indelible mark on the hip-hop world.
