Fans of Young Thug and Gunna are buzzing after a quickly deleted tweet from Young Thug’s account appeared to send a direct jab at Gunna. On Saturday, November 9, the rapper’s page shared,

“Gunna stop acting like we friends on the internet, I don’t know u my guy.”

This unexpected post was soon removed, but not before sparking widespread confusion.

The tweet came on the heels of Young Thug’s announcement of a new song with Lil Baby, who has openly expressed disapproval of Gunna since he took an Alford plea in the YSL RICO trial. While fans remain divided on whether Gunna’s plea constitutes “snitching,” the rapper’s relationship with Thug appeared to be on solid ground after Young Thug’s lawyer asked the judge if he could still collaborate with Gunna as part of his own plea conditions. This request left many assuming the two were on good terms.

However, this latest tweet has reopened speculation and fueled mixed reactions among fans. One user commented, “Ain’t 20 years on the line?….Please Thug not today,” while another said, “I don’t wanna hear free young thug when he’s back in the slammer!”

Despite the online tension, Gunna has been vocal about his support for Thug since his release, even displaying a “Free Jeff” sign at his shows. Yet, artists like Future, Lil Baby, and Lil Durk have distanced themselves from Gunna, unfollowing him after his return from jail. The distance between Gunna and Lil Baby has become especially noticeable, with many fans pointing out a decline in Gunna’s profile and music presence.

While Young Thug hasn’t publicly clarified the status of his relationship with Gunna, speculation is mounting about an appearance from Thug on Lil Baby’s upcoming project. The rumors grew after a billboard surfaced quoting Young Thug’s previous tweet, “whatever Wham says goes,” adding fuel to the ongoing mystery of the YSL dynamics.
