Nicki Minaj Announces Final Deluxe Version of Pink Friday 2 with ‘The Hiatus’ Edition
Nicki Minaj will return with her deluxe album to ‘Pink Friday 2’ this December right in time for her birthday for its one-year anniversary.
Nicki Minaj fans can expect one final deluxe edition of her Pink Friday 2 album, with The Hiatus version set to drop on December 13, marking its one-year anniversary. Announced on Twitter on November 8, Minaj referred to it as the “final deluxe installment,” following two previous releases—Gag City Deluxe and Gag City PLUTO Edition. The earlier editions brought collaborations with icons like 50 Cent on “Beep Beep (Remix)” and Monica and Keyshia Cole on “Love Me Enough,” along with Future on “Press Play.”

This latest version appears to be a nod to her previous “hiatus” discussions. In an October Stationhead broadcast, Minaj mentioned taking a “moment to reflect” following some high-profile commitments, including a major Vogue feature. However, she later clarified on Twitter, assuring fans she wasn’t actually going anywhere, saying,
“Ain’t going no motherf**kin’ where. Kiss my a and hiatus.”
Fans are now wondering if the artist will continue with a possible Pink Friday 3, which was initially rumored as a replacement for a third deluxe installment. When Minaj’s September release of Pink Friday 2: Gag City Reloaded was delayed, she explained the album’s sentimental value as her first project since becoming a mother, emphasizing her care in selecting the track order.
As Minaj gears up for Pink Friday 2: The Hiatus, anticipation is high to see what final touches the artist will add to close out this era of her career. Fans can only hope that Pink Friday 3 might still be in the works for the future.
