Lil Durk’s legal troubles have intensified as he faces additional federal charges linked to the murder of Saviay’a “Lul Pab” Robinson, cousin of his rap rival, Quando Rondo. Durk (real name Durk Banks) was initially arrested in October on conspiracy to commit murder-for-hire over his alleged role in Lul Pab’s August 2022 killing.

On November 7, a superseding indictment from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California added two more charges: one count of using interstate facilities to commit murder-for-hire and one count of firearms possession and discharge in furtherance of a crime of violence resulting in death. The updated indictment also lists Lil Durk as the lead defendant, joining five others already charged in the case.

Authorities allege that the plot stemmed from a desire to retaliate for the 2020 murder of King Von, a close associate of Lil Durk. Prosecutors claim that Durk coordinated the plot and financed his OTF crew members to travel from Chicago to California for the hit.

The Justice Department’s release details flight and hotel records, stating that Lil Durk allegedly warned his crew to avoid using identifiable names when booking travel. He reportedly flew to California himself with an associate, Kavon “Vonnie” Grant, who allegedly purchased ski masks and covered hotel costs for the co-conspirators.

If convicted, Durk and his co-defendants face life imprisonment. Currently detained in Miami without bond, he is expected to be moved to Los Angeles for arraignment in the coming weeks.
