Kodak Black Responds to Concerns About Alleged Drug Use Following Kai Cenat Livestream Appearance
Earlier this year, the Florida rapper shared insights into his struggle with addiction.
Kodak Black recently addressed fans’ concerns over his alleged drug use after appearing on Kai Cenat’s “Mafiathon 2” livestream on Monday night (Nov. 4). Following the livestream, clips surfaced online showing Kodak seemingly taking a pill, which sparked a wave of concern from fans.
In response, Kodak took to Instagram Live to clarify his stance.
“Y’all be on shrooms, acid, [and] all types of stupid a** s**t. I take one Perc, and y’all be so f**king butthurt,” the “Roll in Peace” rapper said, suggesting that his behavior may be misunderstood by fans who “don’t like a n**ga anyway.” He explained, “That’s how I came in this b**ch. I wake up like this. If anything, give me drugs. Give me drugs, and I’ll chill. When I’m not high, when I ain’t higher than a b**ch, I’m vibing. When I’m high, I’m in my coma, bro.”
Fans were surprised by Kodak’s seemingly nonchalant attitude toward his drug use, especially since he previously shared a more positive outlook on sobriety. Over the summer, Kodak mentioned making strides in controlling his substance use, saying, “Now I can wait a few days… I’m more proud of myself.” This came after he reportedly spent more than $350,000 on rehabilitation and openly struggled with sobriety during the 2023 holidays, which included a brief jail stint until his release in February.
While Kodak’s appearance stirred mixed reactions, Kai Cenat’s “Mafiathon 2” livestream continues to feature a range of guests, including popular names like Lil Uzi Vert, Miranda Cosgrove, and GloRilla. For Kodak, this latest controversy is a reminder of the ongoing complexities around his public image and personal challenges.
As he navigates fans’ reactions and his own journey, Kodak Black remains one of hip-hop’s most talked-about figures, capturing attention through his music and candid, unfiltered personality.
