Nicki Minaj has announced she is officially pursuing a college degree, sharing her exciting plans with fans and revealing a return of her Student of the Game initiative to support fans’ educational goals. The “FTCU” rapper hinted at this new chapter on Sunday (Nov. 3) and confirmed details are on the way, including the major she’s chosen and how Barbz can apply for assistance.

Back in 2017, Minaj’s generosity made waves when she helped cover tuition, student loans, and even tech needs for a dozen lucky fans, a gesture she formalized in 2018 with the Student of the Game fund. This time around, Minaj promises more structured support for those struggling to afford college.

The rapper’s commitment to education reflects a trend among Hip-Hop’s top women. Megan Thee Stallion famously graduated from Texas Southern University, Saweetie earned her degree at USC, and Lady London is an alum of Howard University, showcasing the growing academic achievements of rap’s leading ladies.

Nicki couldn’t resist addressing the critics as she hinted at her comeback charity efforts. When a fan suggested that some would label her charity as “damage control,” Minaj humorously responded, saying she was unaware of any online “dragging.” She added that the only thing being “dragged” was the crowd to her record-breaking “Pink Friday 2 World Tour,” which has already become the highest-grossing tour for a female rapper with each show grossing nearly $2 million.

Fans can also look forward to more music from Minaj, as she recently hinted that her next album, Pink Friday 3, will take the place of her now-shelved Pink Friday 2 Deluxe Edition.

Minaj’s education journey is yet another chapter in her ongoing legacy, and with her Student of the Game fund’s return, she’s setting a strong example for fans aiming to reach their own academic and professional goals.
