Cardi B Fires Back at Critics Claiming She Was Paid to Endorse Kamala Harris
Cardi B spoke loud and clear at Kamala Harris’ Milwaukee, Wisconsin rally.
Cardi B has never been shy about sharing her views on politics, but some skeptics still believe her involvement comes only when it serves her interests. Early Saturday morning (Nov. 2), the rapper responded to claims that she was paid a “hefty amount” to support Vice President Kamala Harris in the upcoming 2024 presidential election.
Fresh off her appearance at a Democratic rally for Harris in Milwaukee, the “Press” rapper addressed the rumors directly.
I did not get paid a dollar for this…I actually been talking about these topics for the past couple years FOR FREE on ALL my platforms!! Before I was a celebrity I was a product of poverty for 24 years so you not gonna tell me what I want to see in MY community https://t.co/wmL0JWgKeg— Cardi B (@iamcardib) November 2, 2024
“I did not get paid a dollar for this,” she clarified in a post. “I’ve been talking about these topics for the past couple years FOR FREE on ALL my platforms! Before I was a celebrity, I was a product of poverty for 24 years, so you’re not gonna tell me what I want to see in MY community.”
Along with her response, Cardi shared a clip of her speech, emphasizing her support for women’s health rights and slamming recent comments from Donald Trump.

“Just 2 days ago, Donald Trump said he’s gonna protect women whether they like it or not? Donnie, please… Protection for women, especially if we’re talking about maternal and mental healthcare, isn’t telling them WHAT to do with their bodies; it’s supporting them and giving them the care they need for what THEY CHOOSE to do.”
Cardi further defended herself by drawing a comparison between her journey and Harris’s, tweeting,
Just like Kamala Harris, I have been the underdog and I have been underestimated!! My success always discredited!… Let me tell you something, women have to work ten times harder and perform ten times better and STILL our success comes with excuses… its because shes pretty or…— Cardi B (@iamcardib) November 2, 2024

In joining the list of stars supporting Harris in 2024, including Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, Usher, and GloRilla, Cardi B continues her strong stance on political topics. Meanwhile, fans eagerly await the release of her much-anticipated sophomore album, though no release date has been announced yet.
