Bankroll Freddie Sentenced to Over 12 Years in Prison for Drug and Weapons Charges
Bankroll Freddie will be sitting behind a jail cell for the next 12 years.
Arkansas rapper Bankroll Freddie has been sentenced to twelve and a half years in federal prison after facing multiple drug and weapons charges. United States District Judge James M. Moody, Jr. handed down the 150-month sentence on Friday (November 1), which exceeded federal sentencing guidelines by two and a half years due to Freddie’s possession of a ghost gun during a 2022 vehicle search.
During that search, police found a loaded ghost gun, seven magazines, a duffle bag with 21.4 pounds of high-grade marijuana, and $33,662 in cash. Freddie’s indictment followed an FBI investigation into the EBK (Every Body Killas) gang. In April 2024, a jury found him guilty of several charges, including conspiracy to distribute marijuana, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, firearm possession related to drug trafficking, and using a telephone for drug trafficking purposes.
Along with prison time, Freddie faces a $242,000 judgment and a three-year supervised release after his incarceration. His conviction traces back to a 2022 federal drug operation, where Freddie, his father Freddie Gladney Jr., and 34 others were arrested. This arrest was part of a 61-count indictment against the EBK gang and the Loady Murder Mobb, groups the Department of Justice accused of trafficking cocaine, meth, crack, and marijuana.
Prior to his arrest, Freddie’s career was on an upward trajectory, with the release of Big Bank in 2021 under Quality Control and Motown Records. Featuring artists like Young Dolph, Megan Thee Stallion, Gucci Mane, 2 Chainz, and EST Gee, the album positioned the Arkansas native as a rising star in the rap industry.
