Grammy nominated R&B superstar, Mario, announces new album ‘Glad You Came’. Following his single release ‘Space’ the Baltimore born artist is releasing his sixth studio album. Mario’s discography dates back to 2002, this will be his first solo studio album in over six years.

Mario who first rose to claim at 14 years old was signed to J Records where he released his debut album. This album featured hit song ‘Just A Friend’ which samples Biz Markie’s 1989 original. Mario’s second studio album ‘Turning Point’ featured hit song ‘Let Me Love You’. Landing the artist two Billboard Music Awards and a Grammy nomination. The artist third studio album ‘Go’ saw mild success but featured hit songs ‘Crying Out For Me’ and ‘How Do I Breathe’.

The artist also found himself becoming a jack of all trades when he began acting. He was featured in Freedom Writers, Step Up, and FOX’s Empire. After his fourth studio album Mario and RCA faced struggles between 2011-2016 with cancelled albums. These struggles ultimately led to Mario and RCA parting ways. In 2018, the artist released his fifth studio album ‘Dancing Shadows’ from his independent label New Citizen. After a six year hiatus the artist is ready to step foot back into the music world.

Mario teased fans with his re-entry into the Hip Hop and RnB world when he made special appearances in the limelight. The RnB signer made an appearance at Nicki Minja’s Pink Friday 2 tour where he performed ‘Let Me Love You’. A few weeks later at Drakes Toronto show Mario performed some of his biggest hits. His visible entry back into the world of music appears to be welcomed with an open arm.

The ‘Just A Friend’ singer is set to begin touring in January 2025 at the “For My Fans Tour”. This tour will feature Mary J. Blidge and Ne-yo as main performers. Pre order is available for the ‘Glad You Came’ album which is expected to arrive on December 13. Tickets for the tour are currently on sale.
