In a Billboard interview, 50 Cent shared his thoughts on the Kendrick Lamar and Drake beef, offering his perspective on the ongoing tension between the two artists.Drake and Lamar’s beef dates back as far as 2013 when Kendrick took shots at his peers on Big Sean’s ‘Control’. During the 2013 BET Hip-Hop Awards Cypher Kendrick takes another shot at Drake. Drake’s third studio album, ‘Nothing Was The Same,’ was featured with a diss track to Kendrick titled ‘The Language.’

As the years progressed the pair would make subtle shots at one another but nothing groundbreaking. But in October of 2023 that all changed when Drake and J.Cole linked up for “First Person Shooter.” Cole’s bar stated:

Love when they argue the hardest MC/ Is it K-Dot? Is it Aubrey? Or me?/ We the big three like we started a league/ but right now, I feel like Muhammad Ali.”

As 2024 comes to an end Drake has released three diss tracks and Kendrick four, with the most recent “Not Like Us’ breaking the record for most weeks at No.1 on Billboards hot rap songs chart.

When asked what his advice was for Drake when they finally linked up he states Drake “didn’t lose a mother-king thing” considering that Drake made at least $300 million on his last tour. He emphasized the importance of not allowing the resistance to make him slow down or block his creativity. He also touches on the allegations the two have spewed against one another stating that “the public likes that you’re vulnerable.” Ultimately, the false allegations causes both artist to push further and gives fans the ammunition to encourage the fight to continue.

The rapper also spoke about his Las Vegas residency, which will be held at PH Live on December 27, 28, 30, and 31, as well as January 3 and 4. Tickets are on sale now.
