Nicki Minaj took to Instagram on Monday (October 21) to celebrate her fifth wedding anniversary with her husband, Kenneth Petty. The Queen rapper shared a heartfelt tribute, along with a series of photos and videos showcasing their time together, including a touching clip of Petty cradling their son, Papa Bear, when he was a baby.

In her caption, Minaj reflected on their long-standing connection, writing:

Nicki and Kenneth Petty’s love story dates back to their teenage years. After reconnecting in 2018 following Nicki’s split from Meek Mill, the couple tied the knot in 2019. A year later, they welcomed their first child, affectionately known as Papa Bear.

While Minaj often shares glimpses of their happy family life, Petty’s criminal past has garnered significant attention. Earlier this year, his updated sex offender registry photo from Megan’s Law went viral on social media. Petty, now 46, was convicted in 1995 of attempted rape involving a 16-year-old girl, which led to a four-year prison sentence.

In 2022, he faced further legal trouble for failing to register as a sex offender in California after moving there with Nicki. He was sentenced to three years’ probation and one year of house detention.

Jennifer Hough, Petty’s sexual assault victim, has publicly accused the couple of harassment due to his criminal past. Minaj has stood by her husband, denying the harassment claims, and Petty has also denied the allegations, maintaining that the encounter was consensual.
