Lady Gaga is set to release “Disease,” the first single from her highly anticipated seventh album, on October 25. This comes shortly after the surprise drop of her latest album Harlequin, which paid tribute to her role in Joker: Folie à Deux. While the official announcement hasn’t come directly from Gaga, fans speculated about the single’s title after observing a pattern in the capitalization of her song titles on streaming platforms, spelling out “Disease.” The singer also teased the October release during her promotional run for the film.

Pre-saves for the track are now available through a pop-up site posted by Universal Music, allowing fans to get an early listen on platforms like Spotify and Apple Music.

Gaga’s Harlequin album, which featured classic American Songbook tracks and two original songs, debuted at No. 20 on the Billboard 200—her lowest debut for a full-length album. While the project wasn’t widely received, her collaboration with Bruno Mars on “Die With a Smile” has been a major commercial success, debuting at No. 3 on the Hot 100.

The pop icon’s last studio album Chromatica, released in 2020, was a resounding success. It topped the Billboard charts and produced the smash hit “Rain on Me” featuring Ariana Grande. Fans are eager to see how “Disease” and the new album will build on her illustrious career.
