While the official announcement hasn’t come directly from Gaga, fans speculated about the single’s title after observing a pattern in the capitalization of her song titles on streaming platforms, spelling out “Disease.” The singer also teased the October release during her promotional run for the film.

Gaga’s Harlequin album, which featured classic American Songbook tracks and two original songs, debuted at No. 20 on the Billboard 200—her lowest debut for a full-length album. While the project wasn’t widely received, her collaboration with Bruno Mars on “Die With a Smile” has been a major commercial success, debuting at No. 3 on the Hot 100.
