On Saturday (October 19), the R&B superstar was enlisted by the Kamala Harris administration to speak at a rally for early voters in Georgia. The event, held in support of Harris’ campaign for the Democratic nomination, saw Usher delivering an impassioned message about the significance of the upcoming election.

“It’s just 17 days away from a very important election, and we have the opportunity to choose a new generation of leadership for our country.”

In endorsing Kamala Harris, Usher expressed his belief in her vision for the future:

“I’m supporting Kamala Harris because she fights for everyone’s rights and freedom. It doesn’t matter where you come from. She has a vision for our country that includes everyone, a vision that supports small businesses, invests in our health, in our communities, and gives everyone a chance to get ahead.”

The R&B legend’s appearance at the rally brought star power to the political scene, as he captivated women voters in attendance. While there were no “cherry” moments like those from his viral performances, Usher had the crowd fully engaged with his message.

Currently, Usher is on his sold-out “Past Present and Future” tour, one of the most buzzed-about live events in music. His performances, which include serenading celebrity guests like Summer Walker, Tyla, and Mary J. Blige, have turned his shows into must-see moments. A standout viral clip even involved Usher handing a cherry to Halle Bailey after her then-boyfriend, DDG, intercepted it—a playful moment that left fans entertained online.

In addition to his political involvement, Usher has recently announced a special 20th-anniversary edition of his iconic album Confessions, set for release on November 1. The diamond-certified LP, featuring hits like “Yeah!,” “My Boo” with Alicia Keys, and the title track, remains one of his most celebrated projects.
