GloRilla Reveals Desire for Beyoncé Collaboration on ‘GLORIOUS (Deluxe)’: “I Need That”
GloRilla has high hopes of potentially lending a Beyoncé feature on her album’s deluxe version.
GloRilla is a big Beyoncé fan and recently revealed her ambition to collaborate with the Queen herself during a podcast appearance on Angel Reese’s Unapologetically Angel podcast. When asked about her dream collaboration, the Memphis rapper said, “Beyoncé.” She went on to recount a memorable encounter with the superstar at Michael Rubin’s all-white party in The Hamptons on the 4th of July, where Beyoncé tapped her on the shoulder, inviting her into her section. GloRilla was overcome with emotion, admitting she burst into tears because of how much she admires the iconic singer.
While the two have yet to discuss collaborating, GloRilla made it clear that she’s eager to work with Beyoncé:
“Beyoncé, I need that.”
Fans are now waiting to see if their paths will cross again, and perhaps even lead to a collaboration in the future.
GloRilla’s latest album, GLORIOUS (Deluxe), was released on October 11, featuring a star-studded lineup. Collaborations with Latto on “PROCEDURE” and Sexyy Red on “WHATCHU KNO ABOUT ME” highlight the project, while “RAIN DOWN ON ME” includes powerhouse vocals from Kirk Franklin, Maverick City Music, Kierra Sheard, and Chandler Moore. The album was recently updated to include “NEVER FIND,” a track with K Carbon, as of October 14.
Looking ahead, GloRilla shared her plans to tour next year, though she hasn’t ruled out dropping more new music. She said she’s allowing GLORIOUS to take its time to make an impact. Originally, she was set to tour solo for her Ehhthang Ehhthang project, but instead joined Megan Thee Stallion’s “Hot Girl Summer Tour” as a supporting act.
Fans are excited about what’s next for GloRilla, and with her bold ambitions to collaborate with Beyoncé, 2024 is shaping up to be a big year for the rising star.
