Akademiks Temporarily Banned from Twitch After Adin Ross Appearance: Feud with ATL Jacob Continues

Akademiks has found himself temporarily banned from Twitch after a controversial stream featuring former Twitch streamer Adin Ross. The ban, which occurred on Tuesday (October 14), came after Akademiks hosted OnlyFans creators Gucci Third Leg and Danae Davis. However, the suspension wasn’t due to the appearance of adult content but rather Adin Ross, who was permanently banned from Twitch in February 2023. According to Twitch’s guidelines, banned creators are not allowed to appear on streams on the platform, which led to Akademiks’ channel becoming unavailable.

Akademiks quickly clarified the situation on social media, stating: “Oh Btw… it was a 72 Hr Suspension on Twitch. Shouts to my Twitch partner manager. Ngl they did warn me over like 4 times in the past bout streaming with Adin. They def dont fw that n-gga lol. we on YT til then.” His Twitch channel now reads as “temporarily unavailable due to a violation of Twitch’s Community Guidelines or Terms of Service.”

Akademiks Faces Backlash Amid Feud with ATL Jacob

The Twitch ban comes during a heated period for Akademiks, who has been embroiled in a public feud with Grammy-nominated producer ATL Jacob. The feud ignited on October 8 when Jacob criticized Akademiks on X (formerly Twitter), calling him out for disparaging producers in the industry. The exchange started when Akademiks reportedly suggested that producers, like himself, shouldn’t have opinions on the music they work on. Jacob responded by highlighting the importance of producers in the hip-hop world, emphasizing that without them, artists wouldn’t have beats to rap over.

The situation escalated quickly, with ATL Jacob calling Akademiks a “fat fuk n-gga” and accusing him of talking too much. Akademiks hit back, calling Jacob out for “gossiping” about his collaborations with artists like Future. Akademiks even referenced an interview Jacob did on his podcast, accusing the producer of talking behind the backs of big names like Future and Rick Ross.

In a series of heated exchanges, Akademiks went as far as to accuse Jacob of gossiping about rapper Future, Rick Ross, and even Lil Baby. He claimed Jacob had told him that Gunna “is finna die” and that Future was “trying to hold on to some points.” Akademiks continued to trade barbs, insisting that Jacob was “gossiping” about these artists during an interview on Akademiks’ “Off the Record” podcast last year.

Tensions Escalate with $250,000 Challenge

Things took a more personal turn when Jacob challenged Akademiks to prove that he had indeed gossiped about any of the artists in question. He even offered $250,000 in cash if Akademiks could show evidence of him speaking negatively about any of his colleagues.

While Akademiks didn’t directly respond to the challenge, he eventually revealed more about the conversation during a Rumble livestream. Akademiks claimed that Jacob had spoken about Future, Lil Baby, Rick Ross, and Tems in ways that suggested behind-the-scenes conflicts in the music industry.

The feud took another dramatic turn when Jacob phoned Akademiks during his livestream. The two argued for over 10 minutes, with Jacob threatening Akademiks to a physical fight. Despite the heated exchange, Akademiks has since responded to the insults, continuing to talk about the drama during his livestreams and social media platforms.

A Controversial Month for Akademiks

This month has proven to be especially tumultuous for Akademiks, as he navigates controversies both online and on Twitch. With his temporary Twitch ban and ongoing feuds with industry figures, Akademiks continues to stir the pot in the world of hip-hop and social media. Whether it’s his wild predictions about the Super Bowl or personal disagreements with fellow streamers and producers, Akademiks seems poised to stay in the spotlight for all the right—or wrong—reasons.
