Florida rapper BossMan Dlow recently clapped back after a fan criticized his music for sounding too similar. The fan took to social media, questioning why his sound on a recent track with GloRilla seemed so familiar, prompting Dlow to fire back with humor and confidence.

In a series of Instagram Stories on October 14, the “Get In With Me” artist responded to the fan, saying:

“Yall tell me switch it up, I’m tryin’ to figure out like I thought everybody had their own sound, what y’all want me to bust out and rap like Kendrick Lamar? Dumb ass.”

He went on to post a video of himself sarcastically rapping complex, multi-syllable bars, humorously asking,

“Yeah, that’s how you want me to rap? You stupid muthafucka.”

Dlow’s humor didn’t stop there. Despite the fan’s critique, the rapper is not backing down from his unique sound, and he’s clearly comfortable with his musical identity. His reaction, complete with playful sarcasm, shows he’s not afraid to defend his artistry.

In addition to his music career, Dlow has been making waves outside of the studio. After ESPN referenced his lyrics during a college football game in August, Dlow jokingly asked to be invited onto SportsCenter, showing his ambition for a career in sports media as well.

Despite the occasional criticism, BossMan Dlow continues to push forward, blending humor with his distinct trap style, and it seems he’s determined to keep his sound—and personality—firmly his own.
