Megan Thee Stallion’s Documentary In Her Words Set for Halloween Release on Prime Video

Megan Thee Stallion’s highly anticipated documentary, Megan Thee Stallion: In Her Words, is officially set to premiere on Prime Video on Halloween (Oct. 31). Amazon announced the release date on Monday (Oct. 14), revealing that the feature-length film will give fans unprecedented access to the Grammy-winning rapper as she navigates fame, grief, pressure, and success.

Directed by Nneka Onuorah, known for her work on Lizzo’s Watch Out for the Big Grrrls and The G Word with Adam Conover, the documentary promises an intimate look at Megan’s life. “Her raw and beautiful spirit really shines through in the film,” Onuorah said in a press release, adding that Megan is a “champion for all women who deserve their truth to be heard.”

TIMES Studios’ Head of Documentary Loren Hammonds echoed this sentiment, sharing: “Millions know Megan as an entertainer, but this film gives her the chance to share her truth as never before.” Hammonds also highlighted Megan’s remarkable accomplishments and her exponential growth as an artist and global figure.

In addition to the documentary, Megan is hosting her annual Hottieween party in Chicago on Oct. 31, with proceeds supporting her Pete and Thomas Foundation, which aids women, children, and seniors in underserved communities.

In Her Words follows a string of successful collaborations between Megan Thee Stallion and Amazon, including her starring role in Prime Day commercials and the debut of her track “It’s Prime Day.”
