Diddy Faces “Firestorm” of Lawsuits as Lawyer Claims Other Celebrities Are Involved in Alleged Crimes
Diddy’s legal troubles are set to worsen, with attorney Tony Buzbee predicting a “firestorm” of lawsuits. The claims could potentially implicate other high-profile celebrities.
Diddy’s legal troubles are set to intensify, as lawyer Tony Buzbee, representing 120 clients with claims against the music mogul, predicts a “firestorm” of lawsuits that could implicate other high-profile celebrities. Speaking to TMZ, Buzbee revealed that several famous figures might be named in connection with Diddy’s alleged crimes, though he stressed the importance of conducting thorough research before making such revelations.
“Everyone’s focused on what other celebrities were involved, who’s going to be named, who’s going to be outed,” Buzbee said. “We want to make sure that if we name individuals beyond Mr. Combs [Diddy] that we’ve done our homework as it’s going to create a firestorm.”
Buzbee hinted that the impending lawsuits could target celebrities who allegedly witnessed or participated in illegal activities, including drug-facilitated sexual assaults, but did nothing to stop them. He stated,
“A lot of people attended these parties, saw this activity, and allowed it to go on. All of these individuals and entities, in my view, have exposure here.”
While Buzbee refrained from naming specific celebrities, he confirmed that some are as famous as Diddy. The Texas-based attorney also noted that confidential settlement attempts had been made with several figures before resorting to public legal action.
Among Buzbee’s 120 clients are 25 individuals who were minors at the time of the alleged incidents. The accusations range from violent sexual assault to drug-facilitated abuse and the sexual exploitation of minors. One of the youngest alleged victims, a nine-year-old, claims to have been abused by Diddy during an audition for Bad Boy Records.
Diddy’s attorney, Erica Wolff, has fiercely denied the allegations, calling them “false and defamatory.” In a statement, she said, “Mr. Combs emphatically and categorically denies any claim that he sexually abused anyone, including minors.”
As the lawsuits continue to mount, Diddy is also awaiting trial on federal charges related to sex trafficking and racketeering following his recent arrest in New York. The legal battles ahead could not only jeopardize his career but potentially expose other celebrities to similar claims.
