DDG Clarifies Relationship Status After Breakup with Halle Bailey

DDG has been making headlines lately, from his back-and-forth with Joe Budden to his candid discussion on the latest episode of No Ordinary Podcast. Following his recent split from Halle Bailey, the “Moonwalking in Calabasas” rapper has been openly addressing the breakup—and on Monday night (Oct. 7), he made it clear that he has no plans to date anyone else unless it’s Halle.

During a Twitch stream, DDG stated,

“I am not dating anyone. I don’t have a potential girlfriend, nor do I even think about that whatsoever. I don’t plan on getting into another relationship unless it’s [with] Halle. That’s the only way.”

He further added,

“I don’t want multiple baby mamas. I don’t want none of that. We’re taking a break, like I said. I’m [about to] pick my son up after this. Let me live my life.”

Despite being vocal about the breakup, DDG’s ex, Halle Bailey, has remained silent on the matter. DDG, on the other hand, hasn’t shied away from speaking about their split since announcing it earlier this month. In an Instagram post, he shared,

“After much reflection and heartfelt conversations, Halle and I have decided to go our separate ways. This decision was not easy, but we believe it’s the best path forward for both of us.”

He added,

“I cherish the time we’ve spent together and the love we’ve shared.”

On an October 3 episode of No Ordinary Podcast, DDG likened dating to a “part-time job” and later found himself in a public clash with Joe Budden after Budden commented on his relationship. Since the split, Bailey has kept quiet about the situation, allowing DDG to dominate the conversation.

Musically, DDG has been keeping busy. In September, he released “Nosey,” a collaboration with G Herbo that samples Project Pat’s “If You Ain’t From My Hood.” The track might feature on his forthcoming album, which could also include previous releases like “Trickin’” and “Shoot Up Your Block,” although a release date for the project has yet to be confirmed.

For now, it seems DDG is focusing on his career while holding out hope for a possible reconciliation with Bailey. Fans will have to wait and see if the two find their way back to each other.
