Bobby Shmurda Claims Roc Nation Is Behind Rumors About Diddy and Meek Mill
Bobby Shmurda has made a bold claim, suggesting that JAY-Z’s Roc Nation is responsible for fueling rumors about a deeper-than-friendship relationship between Diddy and Meek Mill. Shmurda shared his perspective during an appearance on The Danza Project, where he opened up about the alleged smear campaigns following Meek’s departure from Roc Nation in 2022.
Shmurda, who was also managed by Roc Nation, claimed the company tends to retaliate when artists leave their camp.
“I’ma tell you what’s going on with Meek. I left the team that Meek was on. Meek left that team. [If] you leave that team, they come for you,” he explained.
The Brooklyn rapper likened leaving Roc Nation to ending a relationship with someone in power, saying,
“It’s like leaving a girl with a lot of power. She’s gonna try to make your life a living hell. She’s like, ‘We own the internets, we’re gonna spread all the rumors about you. I’m gonna pay for 3,000 comments making jokes.’”
Shmurda also claimed that he’s been the target of similar rumors, particularly ones questioning his sexuality. He addressed these, saying,
“They tried to call me gay. I f**k the most b**ches ever. Like, come on, for real? I’m not even mad at them doing it; it be the n-ggas that believe it.”
These claims from Shmurda come amid ongoing speculation surrounding Meek Mill’s relationship with Diddy, which intensified after a sexual assault lawsuit was filed against the Bad Boy mogul earlier this year. The lawsuit, brought by producer Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones, alleged that Diddy had informed him of having a sexual encounter with “a Philadelphia rapper who dated Nicki Minaj,” leading fans to speculate that the rapper in question was Meek Mill.
Meek Mill quickly denied the allegations, calling them “sick” and using social media to clear his name. He took to X (formerly Twitter) to express his frustration: “I’m from Philly I don’t do coke or freaky ass molly… no man or watt would ever approach me about gay activity and the whole place don’t get flipped.”
The rumors have also been fueled by viral videos, including one where Diddy is seen calling Meek “daddy” while relaxing in a pool, adding more speculation to the situation. Despite the rumors, Meek has maintained that his relationship with Diddy is strictly platonic.
To address the growing speculation, Meek even offered a $100,000 reward to any investigative team that could clear his name in connection to Diddy’s alleged sex trafficking and racketeering case. In a post on X, Meek said, “I wanna hire an investigative team 100k cash to find out every specific detail involving meek mill name to ‘Diddy’ Case… I also want them to look at who is powering the media involving ‘meek’ anything to do with buddy! ‘Something not right.’”
As the controversy continues to swirl, Bobby Shmurda’s comments have added another layer to the already complex narrative, leaving fans questioning the true source of these rumors. Whether Roc Nation is involved or not, the situation remains a hot topic in the music world.
