Lil Durk Reveals New Album ‘Deep Thoughts’ Set for October Release
Lil Durk is gearing up for the release of his next project, Deep Thoughts, dropping on October 18, 2024. Fans initially speculated it would be Love Songs 4 the Streets 3, but the Chicago rapper revealed the new title on Instagram with the caption, “For the people, for the trenches, Smurk [is] back,” alongside the black-and-white cover art.
So far, two tracks from the project have been confirmed: “Turn Up A Notch” and “Monitoring Me,” the latter of which was released at midnight. On “Monitoring Me,” Durk delivers raw lyrics over a Southside-produced beat, spitting lines like, “You put a switch on a new Glock, bet the lil’ b**ch’ll start jammin’.”
Deep Thoughts will follow 2023’s Almost Healed, which featured big-name collaborations with Morgan Wallen, Future, Kodak Black, and the late Juice WRLD. One of its standout tracks, “All My Life” featuring J. Cole, earned Durk a Grammy for Best Melodic Rap Performance at the 2024 Grammy Awards.

In a recent interview with the Recording Academy, Durk shared how the Grammy win came as a surprise while he was getting dressed. He also praised J. Cole for his contribution to “All My Life,” stating, “For me and him together, more songs, tour, just great energy and learning from him. He’s the GOAT.”
Fans are eagerly awaiting Deep Thoughts as Lil Durk continues to deliver for the trenches with his authentic and unapologetic style.
