Nicki Minaj has enlisted Kelsey Harris, the former best friend of Megan Thee Stallion, to model for her new LØCI shoe line.

Harris showcased the campaign images on her Instagram on Tuesday, October 1, in a now deleted post, where she sported the stylish navy blue, pink, and gold sneakers while holding a newspaper featuring a prominent headline.

“Have y’all checked out the @locibynickiminaj shoe line?” Kelsey captioned the post. “Now available at @dtlrofficial & @shoepalace. I’m wearing the ‘ Press Play ‘ shoe . This brand is eco friendly & constantly working to protecting future generations to come.”

Some fans on social media quickly labeled the collaboration between Nicki Minaj and Kelsey Harris as a petty move. Kelsey was once Megan Thee Stallion’s closest friend until their very public fallout in 2020, which followed the Tory Lanez shooting incident. Kelsey was present during the incident and publicly criticized Megan for not defending her when speculation arose about Kelsey potentially being the shooter. She later testified in Lanez’s trial but contradicted her earlier statements to the police regarding Tory’s threats.

The rivalry between Nicki and Megan has been ongoing, intensifying earlier this year when Megan seemingly took jabs at Nicki in her song “Hiss,” prompting Nicki to respond with her track “Big Foot.”
