Though Beyoncé didn’t score big at the People’s Choice Country Awards or the CMAs, she’s still in the running for the 67th Grammy Awards. According to The Hollywood Reporter (Oct. 2), her album COWBOY CARTER is being considered for Best Country Album. The Recording Academy’s screening committee has been evaluating where each project will compete, and first-round voting is set to begin on Oct. 4 through Oct. 15. Nominees will be revealed on Nov. 8, with final voting between Dec. 12 and Jan. 3, 2025. The award ceremony will be aired live in February.

This would mark Beyoncé’s first country Grammy nomination since her 2016 track “Daddy Lessons” was rejected by the committee. The song, an ode to her Texan roots, featured a blend of horns, hand claps, and acoustic guitar elements, showcasing her versatility.

In addition, Shaboozey is potentially up for Best New Artist, competing against Teddy Swims, Sabrina Carpenter, and Chappell Roan. His single “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” has held the top spot on the Hot 100 for 12 weeks, bolstered by his collaborations on COWBOY CARTER tracks “SPAGHETTII” and “SWEET * HONEY * BUCKIIN’.”

At the PCCAs, Shaboozey expressed gratitude for working with Beyoncé, stating, “Thank you, Beyoncé, you’re amazing. I never would have thought in a million years that I’d be up here at the Grand Ole Opry.”
