The Weeknd & Playboi Carti Release New Song: “Timeless”

The Weeknd and Playboi Carti have officially released a joint single, “Timeless” on September 27th which was highly anticipated by fans. Mike Dean, Ojivolta, Pharrell Williams and Twisco produced the song. Both previewed the song at the Weeknd’s recent stadium concert in Sao Paulo, Brazil.  

“Timeless” is the second collaboration from the Weeknd and Playboi Carti. The last time fans have heard them together was in 2023, from the single, “Popular” which featured on the Weeknd’s raunchy HBO show, The Idol. Both artists have been teasing with new music, so this is giving their fans a taste of the future. Hopefully in the near future, The Weeknd plans to release a new album, “Hurry Up Tomorrow.” As well, Playboi Carti plans to release a new album, “Music” in the near future.

The new single captures a blend of the Weeknd’s synth-heavy sound and Playboi Carti’s rockstar downtempo leanings. Both share similar sounds, so this collaboration was perfect for their fans. Go check it out and let us know how you feel about it!
