Nicki Minaj Refutes Claims of Dissing Beyoncé After Airing Out JAY-Z

Nicki Minaj has set the record straight, stating she has no issues with Beyoncé after recently taking Jay-Z to task.

On Tuesday, September 24, Minaj took to social media to address rumors that she had thrown shade at her “Feelin’ Myself” collaborator. A user on TikTok shared a video claiming, “Nicki Minaj called Beyoncé a robot,” accompanied by a laughter emoji. Minaj quickly responded in the comments, declaring, “This is an absolute lie.” The exchange was later highlighted by The Neighborhood Talk blog.

Speculation about a feud arose after Minaj posted and then deleted the phrase “Robot on timing” on X, shortly after Beyoncé promoted her SirDavis project on Instagram, as reported by Uproxx. Although Minaj hasn’t named anyone specifically, the speculation follows her recent criticisms of Jay-Z.

After Kendrick Lamar was announced as the halftime performer for Super Bowl LIX, scheduled for February 2025 in New Orleans, Minaj was among those who questioned the decision to choose Lamar over Lil Wayne. While she expressed respect for Lamar, she initially vented, saying, “Denying a young Black man what he rightfully put into this game for no other reason but your ego,” in reference to Jay-Z, who has collaborated with the NFL and Roc Nation on the event since 2019. Minaj also mentioned she felt undercompensated for her work with TIDAL before Jay-Z sold the platform.

Despite the tension, Beyoncé has shown support for Minaj in the past. As recently as March, she sent one of her signature floral bouquets to Minaj, thanking her for gifting her Pink Friday nails and congratulating her on the success of her Pink Friday 2 tour.
