Eve Reciprocates Love to Nicki Minaj in Heartfelt Message

On Monday, September 23, Eve expressed her gratitude towards Nicki Minaj for the support she received after Minaj’s recent memoir revelation.

“Thank you so much for this. I really appreciate it,” Eve tweeted. “I have immense respect for you and am proud to have witnessed your growth as an artist and mom, always staying true to yourself. Lord knows it’s not easy for us.”

She concluded,

“Thank you for the kind words and blessings to my family. The feeling is mutual.”

Earlier this month, Eve reflected on her experience with therapy after learning she and Minaj would star together in Barbershop: The Next Cut. The 2016 film, part of the popular franchise, also featured Ice Cube, Cedric the Entertainer, Common, and Regina Hall.

“We got along well and shot our scenes together smoothly. It was nothing like I expected, and I’m grateful I prepared for it,” Eve wrote. “I thought I might resent her, but instead, I felt compassion. I remembered being that girl who felt the need to do it all.”

Minaj responded to Eve’s comments on Sunday, September 22, saying, “The things you’ve shared are groundbreaking for so many reasons. Thank you. The grace and emotional maturity it takes to be this vulnerable is a sign of true peace and mastery of self.”

It’s been a busy year for Minaj, who is currently promoting her latest album on tour, with the final show set for October 11 at the UBS Arena in her hometown of Queens.
