Diddy Forewarned of Possible Arrest Over His Parties in Old Interview

Diddy once joked that his legendary parties might get him in trouble with the law. An old interview from 1999 resurfaced on September 23, following his recent arrest for sex trafficking and racketeering.

In the clip, filmed for Entertainment Tonight, he said,

“They won’t even give me a permit for the parties. They don’t want me throwing them anymore. But we’re not stopping; we’re going to keep having fun and bringing people together from all walks of life.”

He added,

“You’re going to hear about my parties getting shut down, and they’ll probably arrest me for just wanting to have a good time. When you introduce different elements into people’s environments, it can be intimidating.”

Diddy emphasized the importance of breaking down racial and generational barriers, citing examples like Ron Perlman speaking with JAY-Z.

However, Diddy’s so-called “freak offs,” or alleged sex parties, led to his arrest last week on charges of sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution.

Federal prosecutors in New York indicted him on three counts, accusing him of coercing women into sexual encounters with male prostitutes for his own gratification. The indictment claims he used violence, drugs, threats, and blackmail to force women into these situations, which he allegedly recorded for his own use.

Additionally, he faces accusations of transporting male sex workers across state lines and internationally for these events, with a network of associates allegedly helping him carry out and conceal his activities.

Prosecutors stated that raids on Diddy’s Miami and Los Angeles homes in March uncovered significant evidence of these parties, including video footage and over 1,000 bottles of baby oil and lubricant.

Diddy has pleaded not guilty to the charges and will remain in custody until his trial, having been denied bond twice.
