Cashmere Small, known professionally as “Cash Cobain” , dropped his sophomore studio album called PLAY CASH COBAIN on August 23rd, 2024. Cash is an American rapper and record producer from the Bronx, New York. This album comes after his major success across 2023, as the “sexy drill” genre skyrocketed with Cash being at the very forefront. Cash has worked with Drake, PinkPanthress and J. Cole throughout this successful time. In 2024, Cash started to grab listeners’ attention as his hits such as Dunk Contest and Fisherrr hit the clubs and topped the charts. He has the streets of NY on lock!

“I’m feeling sexy, Slizzy – I’m just happy to give y’all the music finally. Thank you to all my fans and supporters, I really appreciate you. Been working non-stop on this album and I’m just so excited to share Play Cash Cobain. It’s a Slizzy Summer!” – Cash Cobain

The “Slizzy Kanye” (a name he likes to refer to himself as) gave his fans 19 tracks of some of the most provocative lyrics known to man, with ear-opening production you’ve ever heard. He continues to push sample drills to its limits, creating his own unique sound. For the entire summer, he has been New York soundtrack and been giving the ladies what they want to hear! On this album, there are plenty of standout tracks such as “Problem” which he sampled Laila!’s new hit song, Not My Problem. If you haven’t listened to the album yet, I’m pretty sure you’ve heard it on the radio or in the club.

The album cover also stands out to his listeners, as Drake is the one who inspired the cover. The New York Native unfortunately didn’t call on Drake to feature on the album; however, he used a photo of his signature on a pink cellphone case as the official cover. Cash stated “I’m feeling sexy, slizzy – I’m just happy to give y’all the music finally,” as he expressed his love and gratitude towards his fans. On top of dropping his highly anticipated sophomore album, he is also currently on tour with Ice Spice for her “Y2K! World Tour.” The Bronx duo have hit up major cities across Europe and the US since July 4th. They have a couple more shows before they close out the tour in Miami Beach at the end of August.
