Scarface has been hospitalized in the Houston area, although information regarding the reason for his admission remains limited.

On Saturday, August 24, the iconic Geto Boys member posted a photo on Instagram showing himself in a hospital bed, connected to various tubes and wires.

He did not disclose specifics about his health status, simply captioning the image with, “Ouch… [three prayer hands emojis] Grateful.” Based on the identification badge of the medical staff member attending to him, it appears he is in the ICU at one of the Houston Methodist Hospital locations.

The post elicited supportive comments from several of Scarface’s colleagues, including artists Travis Scott, Slim Thug, E-40, DJ Premier, Twista, Busta Rhymes, Sheek Louch, Mannie Fresh, Lloyd Banks, Jadakiss and DJ Quik.

According to HipHopDX, in 2021, Scarface, whose real name is Brad Jordan, was hospitalized after undergoing a kidney transplant. Remarkably, the donor was his son, Chris Jordan, who generously donated one of his kidneys. Both father and son were in high spirits shortly after the surgery, with Rap-A-Lot founder J. Prince sharing a photo of Scarface giving a thumbs-up from his hospital gurney, confirming the procedure’s success.

Later, Scarface took to Instagram Live to express his gratitude to his son, who was present in the same room, while adding a touch of humor. “My son saved my life, and I can’t say enough about him,” he remarked. “That boy saved my life man. And I love him so much. But I always said that. He’s the best son a guy could have. Chris, you ain’t nothing [laughs]. Don’t make me laugh, Chris. C’mon dawg.”

Prayers up to the Houston legend!
