Kehlani’s Ex Claims She Made False Rape Allegations Amid Intensifying Custody Battle
Kehlani’s ex-boyfriend, Javaughn Young-White, has accused the singer of making false rape allegations amid their increasingly contentious custody battle over their daughter.
This accusation surfaced just hours after Kehlani obtained a temporary restraining order against Young-White, citing abuse during their relationship. In response, Young-White took to Instagram on Tuesday (August 13), sharing text messages between him and the “Gangsta” singer that seemingly contradict her claims of him smashing through a door in a rage.
Young-White further alleged that Kehlani has a pattern of making false rape and abuse accusations when relationships end. He claimed she falsely accused someone of rape after being caught cheating on her ex-girlfriend, Kiara Russell. He supported this by sharing a screenshot of a text from Kiara, who wrote, “[S]he’s hurt way too many good people n she needs to be held accountable for everything.”
In a separate post, Young-White expressed relief that the truth was coming to light, stating, “I’ve been lied on and manipulated for years straight and it’s finally coming to an end. I’m glad it’s finally out in the open for everyone to see piece by piece what it looks like. I have evidence for everything. I have always forgiven and come back around because otherwise my daughter is weaponized against me.”
He also accused Kehlani of using her friends to retaliate against him and claimed that his attempts to leave the relationship were met with violence and anti-Blackness. He noted, “I ran from this lady multiple times in my life for good reason.”
In legal documents filed on behalf of Kehlani, Young-White is accused of threatening the singer’s safety, excessive drug use, and posing a danger to their child when under the influence. The judge granted Kehlani a temporary restraining order, barring Young-White from coming within 100 yards of her and their child until a hearing next month.
Kehlani has denied leaking court documents to TMZ, stating on her Instagram Stories: “I did not make a statement nor did I go to TMZ about my business.”
Previously, Young-White accused Kehlani of being involved in a cult led by an alleged sexual predator as part of the custody dispute, though he later retracted those claims and changed legal representation. Kehlani has also denied endangering their child through her involvement in Santeria, an Afro-Caribbean religion that blends elements from Yoruba, Roman Catholicism, and Spiritism.
