Drake’s summer hasn’t been affected by his historical rap battle with Kendrick Lamar.

Gordo, formerly known as Carnage, gave an update on how the 6 God is feeling during a talk with People in an interview that came out on Wednesday (July 24). Despite the rap feud Drake has with Kendrick, Gordo shared that he has never seen Drake so happy.

According to Billboard, the Grammy-award-winning producer states that Drake has actually let go of the feud with K. Dot is prepared to concentrate on himself once more. “He’s already gone through it,” Gordo said. “The thing is that he was just on the longest tour ever. He literally did a tour for about a year. I think he’s just chilling.”

“Ever since all this has happened … I’ve seen him happier. It’s really weird. He’s pretty jolly,” Gordo started. “The internet makes it seem like, ‘Oh, that photo, he’s all sad and s–t.’ That’s just a bad photo from a bad camera. But because it’s him, it’s put under a magnifying glass like, ‘Oh, look at his eyes. He’s looking a little droopy. He hasn’t slept.’ But the guy’s been happy as s–t, to be honest. He’s chilling.”

Billboard has contacted Drake’s representatives to get their response.
