Beyonce Gives Kamala Harris Permission to Use “Freedom” Song at Presidential Campaign
Vice President, Kamala Harris has made one heck of an entrance for her first national visit to the Headquarters on Monday evening walking out to Beyoncé’s single “Freedom.” A source on Harris’ team states that she got approval from the Queen of Beyhive herself, Beyoncé, to use the song throughout her presidential campaign.
Beyoncé is heavily known for clearance guidelines around her music and gave the quick approval as she was hours away from her campaign to do her walk out song. As it hasn’t been announced that Beyoncé hasn’t endorsed Kamala yet, there are signs that it could be a potential one coming soon! Neither Harris or Beyoncé responded to any of the comments to CNN’s requests.
Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles, endorsed Harris on Sunday, shortly after Biden’s announcement.
“New, Youthful, Sharp , , energy !!!!” Knowles with a photo of herself alongside Harris. “Putting personal Ego , power and fame aside . That is the definition of a great leader, . Thank you, President Biden for your service and your leadership . Go Vice President Kamala Harris for President. Let’s Go”
Beyoncé does have a history of endorsing the Democratic team. In 2013, she had sung the National anthem for Obama inauguration. In 2016, Beyoncé and Jay-Z headlined a pre-election concert for Hillary Clinton in Cleveland, Ohio with her back up dancers wearing blue to where Clinton could have been the first woman to make history to be President.
